One of the problems with having such a valuable asset as my beloved Princess P62 berthed an hour away from home, is how to make sure she is always safe, secure and maintained in tip-top condition. When I first met James, he was doing exactly that for another owner who was moored alongside me.

I have been retaining James to look after my boats now for many years; he ensures they are kept in first class condition and attends to, or oversees, the essential regular work they demand – without me having to ask or remind him.

He is an excellent skipper when I can’t (or don’t want to) be at the helm. He knows the boat intimately and treats it as though it was his own. He’ll get her ready if we suddenly decide we’d like a day on the water and help put her to bed if we’re desperate to dash away.The peace of mind of having him on hand is of great value to me and I have no hesitation in recommending him to other owners who cherish and value their craft.
